VIASAR is a nonprofit (501c3) organization, which provides advanced imagery analysis services to Search and Rescue organizations across the United States.
Imagery analysis is a term, which describes the complex process of looking at an image and identifying features that a person off the street isn't likely to see, or understand the significance of. Imagery analysis is part training, part science, part skill, and a lot of art. Imagery analysts are well trained and highly experienced, so they are skilled in the technicality and art of analysis, or investigation of circumstances that put visual information at the core of discovering hidden truths.
We are sleuths trying to uncover evidence that will lead us to our goal, which is typically, a missing person.
